I haven't blogged here for ages, and I'm sure you've all missed me, we have a promising year to look forward to in Viking land USA. Brett and the Boys are fired up. I feel bad about Sidney Rices surgery and his absence for the first eight weeks, but we'll be alright. I'm going to the Broncos pre-season game and I plan on reporting back then. Until then keep a stiff upper lip cause it's looking good for the Vikes.

Vikes win big

Well there it is, I thought the Vikes could do it and they started it out big, there were a few plays that I just wish that they never happened to make it look closer than it was.
That blocked punt, why do the Vikes always have to make it look like they don't deserve a win from week to week.

I was in the playoffs in all of the leagues I joined this year, seems like there I've been doing it like the Vikes. Arlan is a juggernaut in the Midwest Mob and and I couldn't get by him all season. So it was fitting that he ended my Playoff run. Unless Tony Romo has a monstrous game tonight it looks like he'll beat me big time.

Well, the Williams Wall is still Intact

I'm of the mind that as long as the Williams' are playing we could potentially win out. The Giants are the only real powerhouse that we have yet to beat and they should have their Division sewed up by then.
Jackson and the coaches should have learned their lesson by now, and the offense is clicking right along so I expect that with Tarvarias at the helm the offense shouldn't miss a beat. We're actually starting to click along on all cylinders right now.
The Special teams seem to of figured things out, and the defense is growing by leaps and bounds, so things are looking up.
I'm thinking the Purple to win in OK fashion this weekend and then next weekend to have an easy time of it at Home.

Hey the Vikes have won five in a row, what are the chances in your mind, of the Vikes winning four and going on to win in the post season? I'm asking the question and I'd like to dialougue with you about it.

Lowdown on Randy

Randy wasn't being used properly as a Viking, They were using him as a decoy and a slot reciever. Too many times they used someone else as a deep threat.
The Vikings as, Frankie Fowler so aptly put it in a recent post and comment sesson, Sorely missed Kliensasser this past season. It'll take less to replace Randy in my estimation as they were using him as an out rather than the number one threat. He was effective but the Vikings weren't as effective this way.
If they'd use him as a deep threat that opens up the short game rather than using him in the short game and opening up the deep threat for Burleson or Kelly.
Yes Frankie you're probably right when you say that his absense will give us much needed cap and salary room.

Williamson looks really promising but his attitude and skills will take time to shake out.

Hey DSL is cool I can surf like a pro but it took a long time to figure out the ins and outs of setting up a PHATT in House network wher three computers can surf wired and others are hooked up wirless, with a mutually attached 200 GIG Harddrive and we have the capability here to hook up another router that'll double the capacity.
Pretty slick to just set in the living or dining room with you're laptop, surf the net or email while talking to the family.

Well the Vikings have really added talent it seems in the latest episode of drafting. They have added depth at Defensive Line, Offensive Line, Cornerback, Safety, Running back and Wide Reciever. They even picked up a Couple of Quarterbacks, Brad Johnson, and The kid from NDSU who was injured yet came close to eclipsing NDSU passing records, Brent Balinger. Sounds like they did OK this year.

Dig for footings, add a layer of compacted sand, preferably 24" water is necessary with sand to get good compaction, Optimum is usually about 12%, to test your moisture simply take a sample of Sand, Weigh it, Place it in a pan and heat until dry, Reweigh it, the difference is the moisture content, Take that weight and devide by the original weight, voile' you have the moisture content in Percent.
Place utilities in the sand so you can connect to them after footings etc. are done, Telephone, Electrical, Water if well is outside, Sewer etc. make sure water and sewer are deep enough to prevent freezing.
Next step place concrete in footings area, if there is care taken in original excavation no forms are necessary only fill about six inches below top of ground so the stones appear to go below ground level. Once the footing top is back filled with topsoil you will see no transition to concrete. If you are going to have a concrete slab floor, I suggest that it be inside the stone and above the footing level. Once the footing elevation is established be sure to use at least six inch deep footings this will be sufficient if using rebar, two # 4 bar, that is 1/2 ", now a days bar comes in metric so that would be a #13 bar, either place the rebars in the wet concrete about half way down or use bricks to hold them up while you pour concrete around them. Insure the top of the footing is level and smooth enough to be able to build on top. If using a concrete slab, place 12" wide styrophome insulation on edge inside of the footing using sand inside to resist the pressure of the concrete footing, place the styrophome so that six inches of it protudes above the footing, thus the slab will rest against the top half and the first six inches of the rock wall will support it from the outside.

Go Vikes, I think that they're really trying to upgrade the defense this year. They're probably going to draft a big reciever, and another good Tackle or at least a big offensive lineman of some sort. Mixon is getting old and we need to begin the replacement process. No one out there is good enough on defense to use a first round on so they'll go with the best available I'm thinking, with their 7th pick over all.

Audition Workshop - Sat., March 19th, 2005 - NEW FORMAT in 2005!
Location: To be held at Winter Park in Eden Prairie - 9520 Viking Dr. Eden Prairie, MN 55344
The workshop will be a two part session. The focus of the workshop is to help prepare you for auditions, or to give you a chance to find out more about the program so you can decide if you want to audition, or to just have a fun day learning about the what it is like to be an MVC! By holding the workshop well in advance before auditions it allows you the opportunity to take what you have learned and better prepare yourself for the big day!
Audition Workshop Schedule:
Session One will begin at 10 am. This session will run until 3 PM. The first session will be focusing on what to wear to auditions, how to do hair and make up in the NFL fashion, posing and modeling, an introduction to interviewing techniques, application review, resume tips, photo suggestions, and much much more!

Session Two will begin at 5 PM. This session will run until 10 PM. This session will be focusing on stretches to help your flexibility, working on cheer techniques, dance technique drills, kick line basics, sample choreography of what the audition routines might look like, a mock tryout, and much much more!
You can register for one session or both. The Audition Workshop is not mandatory to audition and is completely optional.
The feedback we have received has stated that it is one of the most fun days some of our ladies have had - come join us!
The cost: Each session is $25 individually or only $40 for the two sessions combined! That is 10 HOURS of material to help prepare you to be your best at the 2005 auditions. Checks should be made payable to Minnesota Vikings. Cash or check only. You will receive a $10 discount off of the application fee for auditions if you attend our workshop in 2005!

I've been spending a lot of time in the cities, but while home, I've been listening to Doug Batchelor. He's an X Catholic, X Hippie, born again christian preacher. He found a bible in his cave that he was living in as a rebel hippie. He makes a few accusations in his recent set of Seminars, and his take on the final days of Earth, and the Rapture are right in line with the Bible. He and many other recent Seventh Day Adventists, have spent hours studying the prophecies in the bible, and understand the Books of Revelations, and Daniel, in a way that I've been lead lately, now I'm finding that they confirm what I've been learning.

I'm sorry, I've been kinda busy lately buying into our new company, We had a couple of meetings last week and will have another tomorrow. We actually (supposedly) made money last year. So it seems to be a viable business. We'll probably add some pictures on here when we get a chance.
Ronnie and I were at the shop today, we changed oil in a couple of rigs, and fixed the rear bearings on our mini-van. and ran into a bit of a problem with one of the hubs, the bearing had been spinning on the race so it's worn into the hub. So I couldn't get a hub on a sunday, so I cut up a paint can and shimmed the old bearing race, it'll work til' we can get a new hub.
This isn't a political or religeous topic, but it's my blog spot so I reserve the right to talk about what I want Right?

The first Photo is the site cleared with only the foundation set and the second shows most of the main construction completed if you look close you can see where we made the builder move the window and dormer over just to get it to look right.

I've been slogging around through out the past week trying to figure out how this whole thing works, and seem to be enjoying myself.
The biggest difficulty it seems is to discern the difference of where you're at in reference as to what you've learned, and what you've stumbled across. One of the things that tend to mix a person up is, were you logged in when you learned it or were you just perusing all of various and sundry blogs. And then did you apply it befor or after you were blogged in. If time permits us I'm sure we'll all become educated in the art of blogging, and all be able to post readily without spending time trying to figure things out.
One thing I think I know is that the T'wolves all talk like they really like being coached by Kevin McHale, and that he is great at spreading the encouragement around to the team, maybe Flip wasn't as good of a coach as I thought.
Olawakahndi needs a kick in the butt, maybe this coaching change will be good.
Reggie Fowler has to be good for the Vikings, things are looking up.
